There are many diseases and conditions that can cause a dog to have seizures.  Dogs who have a known cause of their seizures have secondary epilepsy.  It's important to determine if there is an underlying condition that can be treated when a dog begins having seizures.  To learn what tests should be performed please see "Diagnosis".
